We're Having a Baby!!

Well, the word is out that Clark and I are going to be parents. We went to the doctor today and got the official word that yes, we are indeed pregnant! The doctor said everything looks great and we are scheduled to go back on June 25 to hear the heartbeat! I know that will be a fun visit :) I have loved reading my friends' blogs over the past few months and I determined a blog will be the best way to keep friends and family updated during the pregnancy! So here goes! Please feel free to send blogging tips my way!! It is going to be a busy year for us. Camille's is scheduled to open in late September and our little baby will arrive around January 21! We are so excited. And little Lucy is excited too!


So, here is how we found out...


I took the first (of three) pregnancy tests early Tuesday morning (May 20) and was shocked to see a plus sign show up! I honestly did not believe it so on the way to work, I bought 2 more. After taking 2 more tests that day and having positive results, I was a believer! Clark was busy working on things for Camille's that day and I had a Junior League meeting at 6:30, so I didn't get a chance to tell him after school! I didn't know how I was going to be able to keep this HUGE secret from him but I really didn't want to tell him over the phone. Finally, Clark got home from the Alabama Wildlife Cookoff at 10:00 and I gave him a present. He was a little surprised that I bought him a gift for no reason, and he was even more shocked to find 3 positive pregnancy tests, a baby onesie, hat, bib, and book inside! It was a fun night!
